Production & Shipping
Times
All National Blind Store
window treatments are custom-made to your order. Our goal is to have your order
delivered to you as soon as possible. In many cases,
your order will be manufactured within seven (7) business
days from time of placement with us, but this can vary greatly by manufacturer.
More detailed information is shown below. The shipping time is generally an
additional 3 to 7 business days, depending upon your distance from the
manufacturing facility. In most cases you will receive your window treatments
approximately 2 weeks from the time you place your order**.
Specialty shapes and special orders may take longer, and these will be estimated
at time of order.
You will be
notified via email as soon as we receive a ship date from the manufacturer. This
is usually within three (3) business days from receipt of order.
Some manufacturers will
accept rush orders with a per unit premium. These are specially priced on
a per request basis. Nanik and Bali do not accept rush
orders.
Shipping is FREE within
the continental United States for any
product up to 90". National Blind Store
ships free up to 90".
Hunter Douglas, Skandia,
Suncoast
Levolor/Kirsch, Graber, Nanik,
Phifer, Mermet and Tontine ship free for any product under 96".
Area Rugs ship Free.
There is a $99 shipping surcharge per order for products exceeding the
maximum lengths shown above.
Shipments to
Alaska,
Hawaii and Puerto Rico incur a shipping surcharge, which may vary by
manufacturer. All manufacturers except Levolor/Kirsch, Nanik Timberline
and Hunter Douglas will ship to Canada. The customer is
responsible for shipping charges and all applicable duties.
Rush and overnight
shipping is available at an additional charge. We do our best to provide
this information, but in most cases our manufacturers do not know the exact cost
until the order is shipped. These costs are passed directly to you.
Shipments to Canada
Bali, Graber, Phifer, Tontine, Mermet and
Panta-Flex products are available for shipment to Canada. The customer is
responsible for shipping charges and all applicable duties. A copy of the
invoice from the National Blind Store and the broker (name and address)
the customer is using to be the importer of record are required.
National Blind Store will provide the manufacturer with a copy of the
customer's invoice. The customer is responsible for providing
broker information.
Rush and overnight
shipping is available at an additional charge. We do our best to provide
this information, but in most cases our manufacturers do not know the exact cost
until the order is shipped. These costs are passed directly to you.
*In the unlikely event
that materials are out of stock, you will be notified of the revised estimated
shipping date.
**Hunter Douglas,
National Blind Store, Graber, Skandia, Suncoast, Phifer, Mermet and Tontine usually ship
within 7
business days from receipt of order, barring unexpected
production delays and material backorders. Bali ships within two weeks, Levolor/Kirsch
two to three weeks and Nanik
three to four weeks for standard colors and
a minumum of four weeks for custom colors.
National Blind Store Express and other
Three Day Shipping Products:
These products ship within three (3)
business days of order placement.
NOTE: We are currently
experiencing some material delays from all of our manufacturers which
occasionally result in longer lead times than normal. In some
instances, shipments are delayed due to backordered material. We
notify all customers of estimated shipping dates and also if backorders
are delaying an order. We are working closely with our
manufacturers on this issue and apologize for any inconvenience.
- Freight Damage -
We need Your Help!
Things you can do:

Make note of damage
on shipment paperwork (if you’re present when shipment arrives).
Call Customer Service right away if damage is found.

Immediately open the boxes suspect of damage
to inspect. Call Customer Service right away if damage is found.

Open all boxes within 15 days,
as carriers only honor damage claims placed within 15 days of
delivery. Call Customer Service right away if damage is found.

Take photos of the damage
(outside of the box, inside product damage). Email photos to
Customer Service.

Save the carton
for carrier to inspect if required for freight claim. Discard after
30 days.
